Law Clinic receives another award!

The Law Clinic has been awarded the first institutional Media Excellence Award: Newsmaker 2018.

The event took place on 8 October 2018 at STIAS in Stellenbosch and was themed ‘Centenary celebration of research’.

The award recognises the prominence of the Law Clinic in the news during 2018 for various impact matters including Equality Court litigation on behalf of South African Paralympic athlete, Mr Hendri Herbst, the Law Clinic’s submissions regarding tampon tax, the recent litigation instituted against 49 respondents in the Western Cape High Court regarding certain debt collection practices, to name buit a few.

The Law Clinic was also recently awarded the CCASA Achievement Award and shortlisted as Specialist Law Firm of the Year at the 2018 African Legal Awards.
